User C demonstrated improvement in completing non-preferred tasks after Independio’s structured manual features were introduced. The success rate increased from 74.1% immediately before Independio to 84.4% after three months and remained stable at 84.2% after six months. This represents a 10.1-percentage-point improvement and approximately 13.6% relative growth from the most recent pre-Independio baseline.
Immediately before Independio, User C was 0.9 percentage points below the goal’s 75% success requirement. After three months, User C exceeded that requirement and maintained performance above 84% through six months.
| Measure | Before Independio | After 3 Months | After 6 Months | Six-Month Change |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Opportunities | 27 | 32 | 38 | +11 |
| Successful completions | 20 | 27 | 32 | +12 |
| Success rate | 74.1% | 84.4% | 84.2% | +10.1 points |
| Prompts per opportunity | 4.33 | 4.28 | 3.50 | −19.2% |
| Prompts per successful completion | 5.9 | 5.1 | 4.16 | −29.5% |
| Total prompts | 117 | 137 | 133 | +16 |
| Comparison | Percentage-Point Change | Relative Change |
|---|---|---|
| Before → 3 months | +10.3 points | +13.9% |
| Before → 6 months | +10.1 points | +13.6% |
| 3 months → 6 months | −0.2 points | −0.2% |
Before Independio, User C’s success rate increased from 63.6% to 74.1% but remained slightly below the 75% goal. After Independio’s manual features were introduced, the success rate increased to 84.4% after three months, surpassing the written requirement by 9.4 percentage points.
After six months, the success rate remained nearly unchanged at 84.2%. Although the percentage did not continue increasing, User C maintained above-target performance while opportunities increased from 32 to 38.
Compared with the most recent pre-Independio quarter, opportunities increased by 40.7%, from 27 to 38, while successful completions increased by 60.0%, from 20 to 32. This indicates that User C maintained a strong success rate while participating in more non-preferred activities.
Average prompts per opportunity decreased from 4.33 immediately before Independio to 4.28 after three months and 3.50 after six months, representing a 19.2% reduction.
Average prompts per successful completion decreased from 5.9 to 5.1 after three months and 4.16 after six months, representing an approximately 29.5% reduction from baseline.
Total prompts increased from 117 to 133 because User C received 11 additional opportunities. However, prompt use became more efficient relative to the number of opportunities and successful completions. User C required fewer prompts per opportunity and fewer prompts per successful task while completing substantially more activities.
The written goal requires User C to complete at least 75% of non-preferred-task opportunities successfully within an average of three prompts per opportunity.
For the latest quarter, 75% of 38 opportunities requires at least 29 successful completions. User C completed 32 of 38 opportunities successfully, producing an 84.2% success rate and exceeding the minimum success requirement by three successful opportunities.
The prompting requirement was not yet met. At three prompts across 38 opportunities, User C was permitted a maximum of 114 prompts. User C received 133 prompts, exceeding the quarterly limit by 19 prompts. This equals an average of 3.50 prompts per opportunity, which was 0.50 above the written limit.
Therefore, User C met the success-rate component but had not yet met the complete goal as written.

User C’s goal reads:
“User C will engage in non-preferred tasks (e.g., brushing teeth, showering, washing hands, etc.) within 3 prompts 75% of the time for one quarter.”
Data collected in 2nd Quarter (6 months before Independio features were introduced):
14/22 = 0.636 * 100 = 63.6% success rate, 121/66 = 8.6 prompts to successes
Data collected in 3rd Quarter (3 months before Independio features were introduced):
20/27 = 0.741 * 100 = 74.1% success rate, 117/20 = 5.9 prompts to successes
Data collected in 4th Quarter (3 months after Independio features were introduced):
27/32 = 0.844 * 100 = 84.4% success rate, 137/32 = 5.1 prompts to successes
Data collected in 1st Quarter (6 months after Independio features were introduced):
32/38 = 0.842 * 100 = 84.2% success rate, 133/32 = 4.2 prompts to successes

User C moved from slightly below the 75% success requirement before Independio to exceeding the requirement after three months and maintaining that achievement after six months. The success rate remained above 84% even as the number of opportunities increased substantially.
Prompting requirements also moved closer to the written limit. Average prompts per opportunity decreased by 19.2%, while prompts per successful completion decreased by approximately 29.5%. Although User C still required more prompting than the goal permitted, the data demonstrate improved prompting efficiency alongside increased task participation.
Because this case study includes one participant without a comparison group, the results are presented as preliminary evidence of a positive association rather than proof that Independio features alone caused the improvement. In addition, Independio was used in conjunction with Skill Building and/or Behavioral services in all case studies, showing an additional correlation between Independio features and professional staff involvement when working on these skills.
Case studies conducted on individuals with verbal skills did perform higher overall with Independio, however, the single case study with the individual who is non-verbal, did not make as much progress as the other cases, though there was still a marked improvement in skill acquisition.
Based on the evidence of the case studies presented, there is a lot of promise for Independio use to increase skill mastery and decrease prompts received after a 6 month period. In addition, the qualitative data from professional staff shows that professionals are finding their individuals easier to work with, the data is much easier to manage, and reports were easier to file. More data is needed to determine if the individual maintained the level of mastery after a year and beyond.
Here is some shared feedback from the individuals who worked with their professionals to complete a case study with Independio.
