User A’s results show a substantial acceleration in progress after Independio’s structured manual features were introduced. Across Social Participation and Health, the combined average success rate increased from 52.8% immediately before Independio to 72.3% after three months and 86.1% after six months. This represents a 33.3-percentage-point improvement and approximately 63.2% relative growth from the most recent pre-Independio baseline.
Before Independio, the combined average increased by only approximately 4.2 percentage points between quarters. During the first quarter using Independio, it increased by approximately 19.5 points—about 4.7 times the previous pace of improvement.

User A’s Social Participation success rate remained at 55.6%, or 5 of 9 successful opportunities, during both pre-Independio quarters. It increased to 77.8% after three months and 88.9% after six months, with 8 successful completions out of 9 opportunities. This exceeded the goal’s 80% success-rate requirement.
Average prompts per successful completion decreased from 9.4 immediately before Independio to 5.9 after three months and 4.6 after six months, representing a 51.1% reduction. Total quarterly prompts decreased from 47 to 37. Although User A met the success-rate requirement, prompting remained slightly above the written limit of four prompts per successful completion and 36 prompts per quarter.

| Before → 6 months | +33.3 points | +66.6% |
| 3 months → 6 months | +16.6 points | +24.9% |
User A’s Health success rate increased from 41.7% to 50.0% during the two pre-Independio quarters. After Independio was introduced, it increased to 66.7% after three months and 83.3% after six months, with 10 successful completions out of 12 opportunities. This exceeded the goal’s 80% success-rate requirement.
Average prompts per successful completion decreased from 9.5 immediately before Independio to 5.3 after three months and 3.9 after six months, representing a 58.9% reduction. Total quarterly prompts decreased from 57 to 39. User A met the success-rate requirement but remained slightly above the limit of three prompts per successful completion and 36 prompts per quarter.
User A’s goal:
“User A will participate in social activities (including bowling leagues, peer get togethers, hangout’s with friends/peers, etc.) 3 times per month within 4 prompts 80% of the time for one quarter.”
Data collected in 4th Quarter (6 months before Independio features were introduced):
5/9 = 0.556 * 100 = 55.6% success rate, 49/5 = 9.8 prompts to successes
Data collected in 1st Quarter (3 months before Independio features were introduced):
5/9 = 0.556 * 100 = 55.6% success rate, 47/5 = 9.4 prompts to successes
Data collected in 2nd Quarter (3 months after Independio features were introduced):
7/9 = 0.778 * 100 = 77.8% success rate, 41/7 = 8.2 prompts to successes
Data collected in 2nd Quarter (6 months after Independio features were introduced):
8/9 = 0.778 * 100 = 77.8% success rate, 37/8 = 4.625 prompts to successes

User A’s goal reads:
“User A will engage in exercise and healthy eating at least 1 time per week within 3 prompts 80% of the time.”
Data collected in 4th Quarter (6 months before Independio features were introduced):
5/12 = 0.417 * 100 = 41.7% success rate, 59/5 = 11.8 prompts to successes
Data collected in 1st Quarter (3 months before Independio features were introduced):
6/12 = 0.5 * 100 = 50% success rate, 57/6 = 9.5 prompts to successes
Data collected in 2nd Quarter (3 months after Independio features were introduced):
8/12 = 0.667 * 100 = 66.7% success rate, 42/8 = 5.3 prompts to successes
Data collected in 3rd Quarter (6 months after Independio features were introduced):
10/12 = 0.833 * 100 = 83.3% success rate, 39/10 = 3.9 prompts to successes

The strongest finding is the change in User A’s progress trajectory after Independio’s manual features were introduced. Improvement accelerated substantially during the first three months and continued through six months across both goal areas.
After six months, User A exceeded the 80% success-rate requirement for both goals, reaching 88.9% in Social Participation and 83.3% in Health. At the same time, average prompts per successful completion decreased by 51.1% for Social Participation and 58.9% for Health. Although the prompting limits were not yet fully achieved, User A moved considerably closer to both written thresholds.
The simultaneous increase in successful opportunities and decrease in prompting suggests meaningful movement toward greater independence. These results provide encouraging preliminary evidence that Independio’s structured manual features were associated with improved goal performance and reduced support needs before development of the application.
Because this case study includes one participant without a comparison group, the results are presented as preliminary evidence of a positive association rather than proof that Independio features alone caused the improvement. In addition, Independio was used in conjunction with Skill Building and/or Behavioral services in all case studies, showing an additional correlation between Independio features and professional staff involvement when working on these skills.
Case studies conducted on individuals with verbal skills did perform higher overall with Independio, however, the single case study with the individual who is non-verbal, did not make as much progress as the other cases, though there was still a marked improvement in skill acquisition.
Based on the evidence of the case studies presented, there is a lot of promise for Independio use to increase skill mastery and decrease prompts received after a 6 month period. In addition, the qualitative data from professional staff shows that professionals are finding their individuals easier to work with, the data is much easier to manage, and reports were easier to file. More data is needed to determine if the individual maintained the level of mastery after a year and beyond.
Here is some shared feedback from the individuals who worked with their professionals to complete a case study with Independio.
